The major snowstorm continues over Baltimore and vicinity, with BWI Marshall Airport recording 16 more inches of snow before it finally ends at about 4:00 PM. Snowfall in the Baltimore area ranges from 22 to 30 inches, with Elkridge getting the most.  Also, beginning at about 4:30 AM and lasting for about a half-hour, lightning flashes over Elkridge and Catonsville, and at least eight distinct thunderclaps are heard during very heavy snowfall.

The 16.0 inches of snow that falls today at BWI Airport is the greatest snowfall in one day at the airport in 2010.

Widespread school closures continue in Baltimore and vicinity from the recent snowstorm.

The second major snowstorm in four days begins in Baltimore at about 4:00 PM, with light snow during the rest of the day. In southern regions of the Baltimore area, snow turns to light rain for several hours around midnight.  Still, four inches of new snow are recorded at BWI Marshall Airport.

The major snowstorm continues in Baltimore and in much of Maryland, with 15.5 more inches of snow being recorded at the airport.  The airport's total of new snow from this storm is 19.5 inches.  The Baltimore area receives 16 to 26 inches of snow, with the heaviest amounts north and northwest of Baltimore, in Carroll and northern Baltimore counties. There is a strong wind during the latter part of the snowfall and afterward, resulting in blowing snow with considerable drifting, especially in open areas.  At the end of this storm, BWI Marshall Airport has 36 inches of snow on the ground -- the first time ever it has had as much as three feet of snow on the ground.

It's the National League's first victory in the All Star Game series since 1996. The game is played at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. Attendance is 45,408.
