By this date, 90 percent of all U.S.households have at least one television set. This includes about one million color televisions and about 55 million black-and-white ones. While the NBC TV network foots the bill for the extra cost of broadcasting its programs in color, the CBS TV network broadcasts programs in color only if their sponsor(s) pay the extra cost of producing color programming.

Patrick Cassidy is born in Los Angeles, CA. He's an actor and singer best known for his roles in musical theater and television. He is a son of Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy. Jones was pregnant with Patrick while filming The Music Man and even kicked his mother's co-star Robert Preston in one scene when they were embracing. His brothers are Ryan Cassidy and Shaun Cassidy, and his half-brother was David Cassidy. He is also the uncle of Arrow star Katie Cassidy.

Suzy Amis Cameron is born Susan Elizabeth Amis in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She's an  environmental advocate, a former actress, and a former model.  She made her feature-film debut in the 1985 comedy film Fandango. Amis Cameron next had roles in Rocket Gibraltar (1988), Where the Heart Is (1990), and Rich in Love (1993). In 1993, she appeared as Josephine "Jo" Monaghan in The Ballad of Little Jo. She later appeared in Blown Away (1994), The Usual Suspects (1995), and the blockbuster Titanic (1997), in which she played Lizzy Calvert, the granddaughter of Rose Dawson Calvert (Gloria Stuart). That same year, she starred in the Western Last Stand at Saber River and acted in the cult-classic Nadja. Amis Cameron retired from acting after her last screen appearance in the 1999 film Judgment Day.

The section of the Baltimore Beltway from Baltimore National Pike (Route 40 West) in Catonsville to Falls Road in Towson, is officially opened to traffic.
