(The first four houses in Westivew Park are built on the south side of Johnnycake Road just west of Ingleside Avenue and are completed in the summer of 1955; these houses initially serve as model homes. By the time Westview Park is completed in 1965 by its developer Joseph Myerhoff of Monumental Properties, it contains about 1,800 residences, mostly single-family detached houses. When completed, it is the largest housing development in Maryland, and it straddles the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). About 50 houses are added in later years by other builders. About 97 percent of the residences in Westview Park are in Catonsville, while the other 3 percent -- houses along Johnnycake Road -- are in Woodlawn/Gwynn Oak.)
