In a lecture in Cleveland, Ohio, sociology professor William Fielding Ogburn predicts that the society of the future will eradicate poverty, greatly increase education and control its birth rate based on demand. Italian dictator Benito Mussolini makes an English-language radio address to the United States, offering a message of friendship and saying that Italy does not want war.
